Job summary

Troxis is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Lahore to gather, analyse, document and validate business and functional requirements for software projects. You will collaborate with clients, Product Owners, Project Managers, UI/UX designers, developers and QA teams to translate objectives into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

The role requires strong experience with Azure DevOps and Jira, Agile/Scrum practices, and excellent communication to drive backlog management and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a Software House, IT Services, SaaS, or Product Development environment.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience working with cross-functional software development teams.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend technology-driven improvements.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured functional specifications.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, SRS, and process documentation; write detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Create Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Bugs in Azure DevOps and Jira.
• Prioritize and refine the product backlog; facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Ensure requirements are development-ready before sprint execution.
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams; clarify requirements.
• Support Agile ceremonies including daily stand ups, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives.
• Develop workflow diagrams, business process models, use cases, and process maps.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Present business analysis findings and project updates to stakeholders.
• Manage changing priorities while maintaining project alignment.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution.
• Validate delivered solutions against business objectives and acceptance criteria.

The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering, analysing , documenting, and validating business and functional requirements for software development projects. This role requires close collaboration with clients, Product Owners, Project Managers, UI/UX Designers, Developers, and QA teams to ensure business object ives are translated into well - defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Agile/Scrum methodologies, user story writing, backlog management, process analysis, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non - functional requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend technology - driven improvements.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured functional specifications.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and process documentation.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Web Applications, Mobile Applications, SaaS, ERP, CRM, FinTech, Healthcare, AI, or Enterprise Software projects.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and wireframing tools (Figma, Balsamiq, or Adobe XD).
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, SQL, REST services, and system integrations..
