Job summary

Contour Software in Karachi is seeking an energetic Accounting Trainee to join our finance team. The 3-month paid trainee program offers exposure to IAS standards, daily bank reconciliations, and intercompany allocations.

You will learn Great Plains, Jedox reporting, and build a solid foundation in bookkeeping and financial reporting, with potential transition to full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Finalist or part qualified ACCA/ICMAP or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and bookkeeping, record income and expense transactions.
• Perform day-to-day bank reconciliation in Great Plains Dynamics for all the North American businesses under Perseus Group.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Assist team with posting journal entry transactions related to corporate allocations.
• Record employee’s client cardholder expense transactions.
• Perform ad hoc tasks on projects and assist team members with compiling data from the Jedox reporting tool.
• Run regular control reports to confirm journal entry transactions are posted accurately.
