Job summary

IKONIC in Islamabad is seeking a Jr. Technical Project Manager to blend technical delivery with client engagement and sales acumen. You will manage the project lifecycle, translate requirements into plans, and coordinate with developers and sales to drive delivery and growth.

The role requires 1+ year in a technical PM role, strong English, and experience with modern tech stacks like MERN, AI/ML, Laravel, and mobile frameworks. Willingness to work 4:00pm–1:00am, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a technical project management role in software.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience with MERN, AI/ML, Laravel & mobile frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from onboarding to delivery and post-deployment support.
• Translate business requirements into detailed project plans and timelines.
• Design and present customized software and web solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals with pricing and scope.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure feasibility and on-time delivery.
• Own the pre-sales cycle and ensure smooth transition to delivery.
• Maintain clear client communication, manage expectations, and address concerns.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams for scoping and resource planning.
• Identify risks, resolve bottlenecks, and improve processes.

Position Purpose:

This role blends technical expertise, project leadership, and a strong sales mindset ideal for someone who can manage clients, align technical delivery with business goals, and confidently pitch solutions when needed. You'll collaborate with clients, developers, and sales teams to ensure smooth execution, client satisfaction, and growth opportunities.

Education & Professional Qualification:

• Master or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification(s): Not mandatory, but certification in a relevant field is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience as a Technical Project Manager in Software Industry.
• Fluency with English communication is a must & IELTS would be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire project lifecycle from client onboarding and requirement gathering to delivery and post-deployment support.
• Translate business requirements into detailed project plans, technical specifications, and timelines.
• Design and present customized software and web solutions aligned with client needs.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, including solution approach, pricing, timelines, and scope of work.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure technical feasibility, efficient execution, and on-time delivery.
• Own and manage the entire pre-sales and deal-closing cycle, ensuring a seamless transition to the delivery team.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns proactively.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams for solution scoping, estimations, and resource planning.
• Identify risks, resolve bottlenecks, and implement process improvements for smoother project execution.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and performance dashboards in tools such as Notion, Jira, or Trello.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to internal process and product improvement.

Requirements:

• 1+ year in a technical project management role ideally within a software consultancy or product development team.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities during project execution.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks such as MERN, AI/ML, Laravel & mobile frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI-based solutions.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise scale projects on time and within budget, collaborating with crossfunctional teams
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, and solution architecture.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills able to bridge technical and business discussions effectively.
• Strong documentation, estimation, and time management capabilities.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Notion, Trello, Google Workspace, MS Office).
