Job summary

TSS Pakistan is seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer in Islamabad to design, implement, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will develop microservices, REST APIs, and data models while ensuring secure, scalable software aligned with established architecture.

You will work with Docker and Kubernetes, participate in CI/CD activities, and collaborate with architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with Java in production environments.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs/microservices.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes: containerization, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; NoSQL exposure is a plus.
• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, OCI, or GCP).
• Understanding Git-based development, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience with integration or middleware projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices aligned with architecture and coding standards.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and support system-to-system integrations.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code with unit and integration tests.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and performance optimisation.
• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment in Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, release activities, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions using Agile practices.
• Apply secure development practices and continuously improve application quality.
