Job description

Magma Systems has an opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join our team. Magma Systems is looking for a candidate with a keen analytical mindset and experience with evaluating projects and taking responsibility for ensuring that the team completes the project on time and according to the provided specifications.

The Project Manager shall develop the Project Plan with the team and manage the team’s performance of project tasks. It will also be the responsibility of the Project Manager to secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for communication, including status reporting, risk management, escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team, and, in general, making sure the project is delivered in budget, on schedule, and within scope.

Job Specification

1. Must have at least 5 years of IT experience.
2. Management role experience for at least 2 years.
3. Must have an IT background; programming and system architecture design expertise will be a big plus.
4. Must have previously managed large projects successfully.
5. Must have understanding of various developing languages and tools.
6. Experience with one or more project management tools such as Atlassian Jira is a must.
7. Skills in scripting and report preparation (advanced Excel).
8. Quality Assurance experience will also be a big plus.
9. Good communication skills.
10. Willing to provide support, out of normal office hours.
11. Ready to travel.
12. Ability to manage clients.
13. Experience in handling calls/conferences and working with clients (technical/business) & multiple vendors towards achieving a prompt solution.
14. Conversant with managing client meetings and providing reports/dashboards.
