Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an IT Support professional to provide operational support for IT resources for end users under close supervision. The role requires collaboration with team members and adherence to documented processes.

Responsibilities include handling service inquiries, troubleshooting hardware and software, and escalating complex issues as needed. Candidate should be proficient in basic IT concepts, with a willingness to support manufacturing and shop-floor operations, and possess

Qualifications

Basic SQL and database knowledge.
Windows OS and hardware troubleshooting.
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP, LAN/Wi‑Fi.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Willingness to support manufacturing/shop-floor operations.

Responsibilities

Acts as a point of contact for customers for service inquiries and maintains relationships with key customers and suppliers.
Performs IT support for assigned area(s) according to documented processes.
Diagnoses and resolves IT hardware or software issues with direction.
Installs, configures, or dispositions IT hardware and/or application issues as needed.
Performs initial troubleshooting and escalates when unable to resolve.
Uses Incident Management system to log issues and support provided.
Assists with additional IT responsibilities as assigned.
