Job summary

Abyss Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an Engineer with experience in Oil & Gas piping isometrics to support QA of vendor-delivered piping deliverables. You will review isometrics for accuracy, coordinate corrections with vendors, and ensure compliance with SOPs and project requirements.

Collaboration with internal teams and vendors will ensure timely, high-quality outputs. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in Oil & Gas activities, strong drawing interpretation skills, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor's level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Material, Industrial, Petroleum or Civil engineering.
1-3 years of industry experience; preferably in relevant Oil & Gas activities.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and process diagrams.
Knowledge of API, ASME and NACE standards is desirable.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar engineering software.

Responsibilities

QC reviews of piping isometric drawings prepared by external vendors for accuracy and completeness.
Identify errors, discrepancies, and missing information in drawings.
Provide feedback to vendors, track revisions and rework.
Ensure deliverables meet SOPs, project requirements and industry standards.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical queries.
Prepare engineering and inspection reports and support timely project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QC procedures.
