Job summary

Abyss Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an Engineer with a background in mechanical, chemical, civil, petroleum, or related disciplines to support onshore and offshore infrastructure assessment. You will analyse visual and engineering data, interpret drawings and 3D models, identify defects, and contribute to condition assessment and asset integrity activities in line with client standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, mechatronics, petroleum or civil engineering.
• 1–3 years of industry experience preferred in relevant sectors.
• Must be able to analyse engineering and inspection data and draw sound conclusions.
• Experience interpreting drawings, schematics, P&IDs and isometrics is desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD models and 3D modelling tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large volumes of visual and engineering data to identify faults and relevant features.
• Apply client and industry standards for condition assessment and asset integrity.
• Create photogrammetric 3D models and perform metrology analysis.
• Perform QA checks and support peer reviews for high quality outputs.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs and other technical docs for inspections.
• Prepare clear engineering, inspection, and condition assessment reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver project outcomes and resolve queries.
• Support continuous workflow improvements and quality standards.
