WAMO LABS offers a hands-on internship program focused on Django/FastAPI or MERN to recent graduates. Trainees will be mentored through real projects, learn Git, and adopt agile practices while building a portfolio that helps them get hired.

You will ship features with a team, participate in stand-ups and code reviews, and receive ongoing feedback from engineers. Hybrid & remote options are available where work allows.

Qualifications

• Degree completed in CS/SE/IT or equivalent.
• Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Python, Django, or FastAPI is a plus.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows is helpful.

About the role

Are you a recent graduate with strong communication skills who’s finding it tough to land that first role? Join our hands‑on internship program. We’ll train you in one of the following—Python (Django/FastAPI) or MERN—based on your interest, mentor you through real projects, and help you build a portfolio that gets you hired.You’ll learn industry best practices (Git, code reviews, agile), ship features with a team, and get ongoing feedback from experienced engineers.

What you’ll do

• Learn and build features in your chosen track:
• Python - REST APIs with Django/FastAPI, ORM usage, auth, testing.
• Write clean, well-documented code and unit tests.
• Collaborate in daily stand‑ups, code reviews, and sprint planning.
• Work with Git/GitHub: branching, pull requests, issue tracking.
• Debug issues, propose fixes, and improve performance.
• Document your work (README, API docs, comments) and demo it to the team.

What we’re looking for

• Degree completed in CS, SE, IT, or a related field (or equivalent skills).
• Solid programming fundamentals (data structures, OOP/functional basics, problem-solving).
• Very good communication skills — clear writing and comfortable explaining your thinking.
• Basic familiarity with one track is a plus:
• Python track - Python 3 basics
• any exposure to Django or FastAPI helpful.
• Comfortable using the command line and Git.
• Curiosity, grit, and a willingness to learn quickly.
