Job summary

State Bank of Pakistan invites applications for the role of Innovation Lead based in Karachi. You will shape the bank's digital finance strategy, oversee the Innovation Hub, and drive cross‑sector collaboration with FinTechs, regulators, and international partners.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in financial technology or innovation, with 3+ years in middle management, and a proven track record in policy, pilots, and program leadership within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in business development, analysis or Fintech with at least 4 years in middle management.
Experience in financial services, FinTechs, banking or digital transformation.
Proven ability to lead innovation programs and engage with stakeholders across sectors.
Knowledge of open banking, digital payments, blockchain and crypto.
Understanding of DPI, digital identity stacks and cross-border payments.

Responsibilities

Lead the Innovation Hub: set strategy and govern daily operations.
Engage with FinTechs, banks, regulators, and multilateral entities to drive innovation.
Oversee pilots, proof-of-concepts and policy translation into actionable guidance.
Manage sandbox operations, accelerators, and design sprints for new tech testing.
Develop regulatory and policy frameworks for digital assets, open banking and tokenization.
Promote human-centered design and capacity building across the bank.
Represent the hub in national and international forums on financial innovation.
