Job Purpose:
Lead New Product innovation and introduction planning and execution processes to support business objectives and ensure efficient product technical transfer at site. Support & assist in compilation of technical documentation like CTD dossiers etc. and perform process troubleshooting to provide technical support to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and establish key partnerships across Operations, Technical, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Engineering on site, as well as with R&D and above site stakeholders. Has overall responsibility for project delivery and successful technical transfer into site.
Responsible for the commercialization of new products from R&D, Line Extensions, Geo expansion product introductions. Key focus on project & risk management, technical due diligence and embedding quality and capability to ensure robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes are developed and implemented.
Manages the assessment of opportunities from business and technical aspects to determine viability for execution, completing site impact assessments (SIA) with input from required site functions for potential transfer opportunities summarizing site capability, needed investment, estimated costing, and timing.
In coordination with Site Technical and other functions, ensures that products developed meet standards required in terms of quality and process capability as defined in the design specification established with the commercial and R&D teams and by using appropriate business acceptance criteria.
Provides resource management/oversight to Project Managers for the planning and execution of project types (e.g. NPI, VE/PPV, line extension, complex site projects).
Development of project plans, securing appropriate resources, monitoring of adherence to plans and developing contingency plans for low-complexity projects. Ensures that risk mitigation plans are in place and agreed with the Site/Regional Quality Councils.
Establishes and supports the project team, ensuring robust communication occurs from the team to the SLT and to the wider organization as appropriate. Ensures proper escalation and communication of risks is in place and occurring at the right level of the organization.
Preparation of experimental, developmental, and conformational trial batches for checking and confirming the site feasibility and for keeping the product on stability.
Coordinates in transfer, upscale, registration and launch activities for Drug Product with related functions.
Preparation and compilation of technical specific documents on CTD formats for onward submission overseas.
Liaise with Quality assurance and procurement to check the suitability of existing and proposed formulation, materials and specifications.
Liaise with marketing and product managers concerning NPI and Tech Transfer.
Follow up Costing queries by liaising with Finance for Quality assurance and production routings.
Provide support in product and process related investigations including complaints, OOE, OOS and Deviation to identify root causes of product and process failure.
Provide fundamental knowledge of function and properties of excipients, APIs and packaging materials.
Ensure that all activities are performed according to current process standards (GMP, HSE, Regulatory) and with required quality.
Provide Support and technical guidance to procurement in strategic resourcing of Packaging and Raw material.
Comply and ensure compliance to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Quality and other related policies, guidelines, and requirements as applicable by law and Haleon Corporate Guidelines.
Comply and ensure compliance to Environment, Health and Safety policies, guidelines and requirements as applicable by law and Haleon Corporate Guidelines.
Any other responsibility assigned from time to time as per business requirements.
Skills and Competencies:
B-Pharmacy, Chemistry, or equivalent BS Degree in scientific/ Engineering, MSc. Or Pharm-D
Specialization in Pharmaceutical manufacturing and Project management.
In depth knowledge of FDA/ICH guidelines, B.P and USP, applicable regulations and standards routinely used in the pharmaceutical industry.
5 - 8 years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with comprehensive know how in pharmaceutical technology, project management and R&D product development
Demonstrated experience in the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry leading the technical aspects of new product introductions, technology transfers, technical risk assessments, product control strategies, validation, and change control
