State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) invites applications for a Sr. IT Assets Management Specialist based in Karachi on a contractual basis in the IT Operations Department. The role focuses on governance of IT procurement, asset lifecycle, and vendor management to ensure value and compliance.

The incumbent will manage demand planning, budgets, RFQs, and contract administration, coordinating with Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit and subsidiaries to uphold service quality and controls.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics from a recognized university.
• HEC recognized domestic or foreign university.

Responsabilidades

• Manage IT requirements, demand planning, and rationalization across departments and subsidiaries.
• Prepare IT budgets, cost estimates, business cases, and procurement plans.
• Conduct market research and coordinate with OEMs and authorized technology partners.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of IT equipment, products, and services.
• Prepare RFQs, bidding documents, and conduct technical evaluations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with bank policies, regulatory requirements and procurement rules.
• Maintain IT asset records, inventory, tagging, capitalization, issuance, reconciliation and disposal.
• Administer IT contracts and SLAs and monitor vendor performance and invoices.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit and subsidiaries to ensure service excellence.
• Prepare MIS, procurement analyses, inventory reports and vendor performance reports.

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following contractual position in IT Operations Department (ITOD), based in Karachi.

Sr. IT Assets Management Specialist

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Manage IT requirements, demand planning, and rationalization across business departments and subsidiaries.
• Prepare IT budgets, cost estimates, business cases, and procurement plans.
• Conduct market research and coordinate with OEMs and authorized technology partners.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of IT equipment, products, and services.
• Prepare RFQs, bidding documents, technical specifications, and carry out technical evaluations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable procurement rules.
• Manage IT inventory, store operations, asset receipt, tagging, capitalization, issuance, reconciliation, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and monitor asset lifecycle and utilization.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor delivery, service quality, warranty, and technical support.
• Administer IT contracts and SLAs and ensure vendor compliance with agreed terms and service standards.
• Validate vendor service delivery and invoices against contractual and SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with different departments such as Finance, Legal, Risk, Audit, and other subsidiaries of the Bank to ensure service excellence.
• Support internal/external audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments, and closure of audit observations.
• Prepare MIS, management reports, procurement analyses, inventory reports, and vendor performance reports.
• Ensure strong governance, internal controls, documentation, and audit trails across IT procurement and asset management activities.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, standardization, and efficient utilization of IT budgets and assets.
• Perform other IT procurement, asset management, vendor management, and related responsibilities assigned by higher management.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors / Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics from reputable HEC recognized domestic or foreign university.
