Job summary

State Bank of Pakistan in Karachi seeks experienced HR professionals for Deputy Director (OG-3) / Assistant Director (OG-2) roles in the Human Resources Department. The incumbents will develop HR policies, oversee payroll and benefits, and manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

Job description

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for experienced professionals for following positions in Human Resources Department. The positions are based in Karachi.

Deputy Director (OG-3) / Assistant Director (OG-2)

The incumbents will be responsible for:

• Provide hands‑on assistance in the development of HR policies, mechanisms, SOPs, and proposals across talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, training, employee services, employee relations, and employee diversity & inclusion.
• Actively participate in recruitment and selection operations.
• Plan and administer employee onboarding processes.
• Engage with various departments to assist line managers and officers in the effective implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ensure meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration, including processing monthly payroll and timely disbursement of salaries and benefits.
• Process income tax‑related matters, including tax calculation, reimbursement claims for deputed employees, issuance of tax certificates, and salary certificates.
• Calculate retirement benefits and final settlements based on entitlement, and process disbursements per standard policy, ensuring quick turnaround after obtaining necessary approvals.
• Process staff loans and advances in line with applicable rules and policies, ensuring timely disbursement as per agreed timelines.
• Process travel‑related payments, education payments, and scholarship matters.
• Ensure timely disbursement of monthly pensions and calculate entitlements for separated employees.
• Process employee leave cases, issue relevant communications, monitor system‑related issues, and coordinate required developments or enhancements in the leave system.

Eligibility Criteria

Master's or Bachelor's degree (with a minimum of 16 years of education) in Human Resources/business administration/management sciences/Public administration/IT from an HEC recognized domestic or foreign university. Preference will be given to candidates possessing HR related certifications.
