HVAC Planning and Scheduling Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Engineer to support our HVAC and mechanical contracting projects. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in planning roles within HVAC or MEP projects. Strong expertise in Primavera P6 is essential. This role requires managing project timelines, ensuring efficient scheduling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.

Experience: 7+ years

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 for HVAC installations on NYSCA projects in New York.
• Create and update two-week look-ahead schedules and monitor overall project progress.
• Coordinate closely with site teams and subcontractors to align schedules with actual work progress.
• Track job costs, update project budgets, and adjust schedules as needed to reflect changes.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to align execution with planned timelines.
• Analyse schedule risks and develop contingency or recovery plans where needed.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, vendors, and other departments to resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor procurement and delivery timelines of HVAC materials and equipment.
• Assist in preparing schedule-related documentation for change orders and project reporting.
• Support site execution teams with updated timelines, sequencing of operations, and milestone tracking.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal review and client meetings.
• Contribute to cost-to-complete and progress reporting processes.
• Ensure project timelines meet contract milestones, safety regulations, and NYSCA standards.
