Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (site and office based)
DAAD Global is seeking a technically strong HVAC Engineer to lead the execution of HVAC projects from design review through testing, commissioning and handover. The role covers technical submittals, coordination with consultants and clients, site execution control, and cost control, so that projects are delivered on time, to specification and within budget.
- Review HVAC drawings, specifications and BOQs at project start
- Verify heat load calculations, equipment selection and duct/pipe sizing (AutoCAD)
- Prepare value-engineering proposals and alternative equipment options
- Identify design gaps and clashes before execution
B. Technical Submittals & Approvals
- Prepare material submittals, technical data sheets and compliance statements
- Prepare and coordinate shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Respond to consultant comments and close them out
- Track approval status in a live submittal log
- Prepare material take-offs and purchase requests
- Compare supplier quotations technically and commercially
- Coordinate with suppliers (VRF, chillers, packaged units, ducting, insulation)
- Ensure materials arrive on schedule and match approved specifications
- Plan project execution and set weekly work targets for the HVAC Supervisor
- Coordinate with civil, electrical and plumbing trades
- Conduct site inspections and raise inspection requests (IRs) with the consultant
- Control variations and document all site instructions
- Supervise pressure testing, vacuum testing, air balancing and system commissioning
- Prepare T&C reports, O&M manuals and handover documents
- Coordinate snag closure and final acceptance
- Prepare monthly progress reports and progress invoices
- Track actual cost against budget and flag overruns early
- Submit a weekly structured report to management
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of HVAC execution experience
- Hands‑on experience with VRF, split/ducted, packaged and chilled water systems
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE and SMACNA standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel
- Strong written and spoken English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Project milestones achieved on schedule ≥ 90%
- Material wastage and rework kept under 3% of project cost
- Monthly invoices submitted on time, 100%
- Weekly reporting compliance, 100%
- Zero major non‑conformance reports (NCRs) from the consultant
