Job summary

House of Habib is seeking a Head of Plant Engineering & Maintenance to lead strategic direction for plant engineering, maintenance operations, and reliability initiatives while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and expertise in SAP PM, TPM/Kaizen, and continuous improvement to drive plant performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in plant engineering and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and TPM/5S/Kaizen.
• Knowledge of ISO, quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of engineering and maintenance professionals, setting priorities and maintenance standards.
• Develop and implement plant‑wide maintenance strategies for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Oversee root cause analysis (RCA/RCCA) and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance budgets, costing, spare parts planning, and contractor performance.
• Ensure machinery reliability, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
• Oversee machinery installation, commissioning, and calibration to meet design specs.
• Drive SAP PM for planning, scheduling, tracking and performance monitoring.
• Lead continuous improvement via TPM, Kaizen, and 5S to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with production, quality and safety leadership to align strategies.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and report to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintenance management systems, cost optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive plant performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of five engineering and maintenance professionals, setting priorities, performance objectives, and maintenance standards.
• Develop and implement plant-wide maintenance strategies covering preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee root cause analysis (RCA/RCCA) of equipment failures and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage maintenance budgets, cost optimization, spare parts planning, and contractor performance.
• Ensure machinery reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with ISO, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
