Job summary

HR Ways seeks a Head of Finance in Karachi to lead the school group's finance and accounts across campuses. You will ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, disciplined planning and effective fee collection.

The role oversees budgeting, cash flow, payroll, audits and management reporting, while mentoring the accounts team and coordinating inter-campus transactions to support strategic decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant, ICAP member preferred.
• At least 8 years relevant finance experience, including 3 years in a senior supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in a school group, educational institution or multi-location organization is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in budgeting, fee receivables, payroll, audit, internal controls and financial reporting.
• Strong accounting software, spreadsheet, analytical and team management skills.
• High integrity, discretion and ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounts across campuses; oversee budgets and cash-flow forecasts.
• Oversee fee billing, collection, reconciliation and reporting with confidentiality.
• Manage general ledger, accounts closing, management reporting and campus-wise variances.
• Supervise payroll processing and staff payments; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish internal controls, approvals, vendor payments and asset registers.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings and statutory financial requirements.
• Lead and develop the accounts team; integrate fee management, accounting and school systems.
