Job summary

Translation Empire PK is seeking Gujarati interpreters and translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work in healthcare, legal, educational, immigration and refugee services. Fluency in English and Gujarati is required, with IELTS certification and related qualifications.

Onsite roles are available with opportunities for hands-on interpretation across public service sectors, including legal and government services.

We are currently recruiting for Gujarati interpreters and translators based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad to work within various settings such as the health care, legal, educational, immigration & refugee services etc.

The Job

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source' language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target' language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Deal with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
• You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement
