Job summary

ACE Money Transfer is seeking an experienced Payments & Acquiring Operations Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of payment processes from card payments to APMs and settlements. You will ensure secure, efficient, and resilient operations while aligning with regulatory expectations and achieving commercial optimisations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop MI/KPIs, and drive improvements in acceptance, routing, and risk controls across international payment flows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5–8 years in payments, acquiring, scheme management, or operations within banking, fintech, PSP, or remittance.
• Experience managing high-volume transaction data and operational controls.
• Good understanding of regulatory, PCI, and operational resilience expectations.
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory engagements, and scheme compliance reviews.
• People management or team leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payment processes across pay in channels (cards, acquirers, APMs), internal reviews, reconciliations, and pay out partner settlements.
• Ensure strong operational controls across all payment flows, identifying risks and implementing mitigations.
• Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk payment and acquiring issues.
• Analyse transaction decline trends, scheme codes, BIN performance, issuer behaviour, and corridor data to identify root causes and actions.
• Develop dashboards tracking authorisation rates, decline reasons, chargebacks, and acquirer performance by corridor and issuer.
• Collaborate with IT and Product to optimise acquirer routing, APM integrations, and fraud/risk decisioning.
• Monitor interchange, scheme fees, and cross-border trends to support commercial optimisation.
• Stay updated on global card schemes, acquiring partners, and regional scheme changes.
