Job summary

Abacus Consulting Lahore seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to support LRMA Legal Department, handling regional operations and key Middle Eastern clients. You will ensure compliance, mitigate legal risks, and provide timely guidance to internal teams.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating international contracts, monitoring regulatory changes, conducting corporate and commercial law research, identifying risks, advising business units on legal issues, and maintaining orderly records.

Qualifications

LLB required; strong preference for International or External LLB.
3-5 years experience in corporate legal department or reputable law firm, preferably with exposure to commercial or international law.
Strong foundation in Corporate Governance, Contract Law, and Commercial Regulations.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents for international operations.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations; advise stakeholders on compliance requirements.
Conduct in-depth research on corporate, commercial, and international business laws.
Identify potential legal risks in business processes and propose effective strategies to reduce exposure.
Provide legal advice to business units managing key clients, ensuring alignment with local and international legal standards.
Maintain organized and accurate records of all legal files, correspondence, and transactions.
