Department: Network Planning and Design (GIS)

Summary: The primary point of contact for FTTx network planning and design, QA/QC of implemented network, sourcing and expert community support and moderation. The GIS Manager is responsible for managing employees, projects, and processes for the Core Function and Desktop Audit GIS Team, with guidance from the CEO. The position includes accountability for daily network planning and design operations, project completion, and financial goals associated with the Desktop Audit and Desktop Marketing processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct GIS physical and soft surveys of planned areas, ensuring field officers collect essential information for planning, designing, and implementation.
2. Supervise Analysts and Technicians on the Desktop Audit/Core Function team.
3. Oversee project execution, Desktop Audit results, and achieve annual goals.
4. Develop and implement processes to optimize project load and maximize returns.
5. Prioritize daily tasks and projects based on CEO guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with and supervise GIS officers for the collection, storage, analysis, and presentation of geographical and spatial information.
2. Create and maintain GIS data storage structures.
3. Manipulate, analyze, and present geographical information, creating programs to convert GIS data formats.
4. Collect and analyze inputs from Operations and Sales Teams, mapping them on GIS.
5. Evaluate business potential by analyzing internal and external parameters mapped in GIS layers.
6. Develop models to identify monetization opportunities through GIS for:

• New network rollouts
• Churn reduction
• Competition management

Job Specifications

• Proficiency in SQL Server, GIS software, and IT troubleshooting.
• BS/MS in Information Technology, GIS, Computer Science, MIS, Planning, or a closely related field.
• Highly preferred skills include Ericsson Network Engineer (ENE) use and troubleshooting, teamwork structure design, 2D design, OSP network designing, work order management, analytical skills, interpersonal, coordination, communication, negotiation, and team supervision skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, macros, and data manipulation for analysis and reporting.
• Ability to perform spatial analysis using advanced SQL and spatial queries.
