Full Stack Software Engineer – PHP/Laravel

DCC Consultants provides offshore corporate services to its partner healthcare organizations in the United States. We provide these services in marketing, communications, accounting, financial planning, revenue cycle management, information technology, and clinical support.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain healthcare applications using PHP and Laravel.
  
• Design secure, scalable, and maintainable Laravel application architectures.
  
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for EMR/EHR and patient management platforms.
  
• Develop Laravel services, controllers, middleware, events, listeners, queues, jobs, notifications, and scheduled commands.
  
• Design, manage, and optimize relational database schemas.
  
• Write complex and efficient SQL queries using joins, subqueries, indexes, transactions, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.
  
• Use Laravel Eloquent ORM and Query Builder effectively.
• Manage database migrations, seeders, relationships, constraints, and data integrity.
  
• Analyze slow queries and improve database performance through indexing and query optimization.
  
• Develop features for patient records, clinical documentation, appointment scheduling, billing, reporting, dashboards, and user management.
  
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces for healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and internal users.
  
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, permissions, and audit trails.
  
• Apply secure coding practices when handling PHI and other sensitive healthcare information.
  
• Protect applications against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, unauthorized access, and other common security threats.
  
• Integrate third-party APIs and healthcare-related services when required.
  
• Support AI-powered features such as intelligent search, automated reporting, data summarization, workflow assistance, predictive insights, and operational automation.
  
• Work with structured and unstructured healthcare data for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-assisted modules.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, database, API integration, and deployment issues.
  
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, tested, and well-documented code.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
  
• Follow Git branching, pull request, and code review best practices.
  
• Support application deployments, production maintenance, performance optimization, monitoring, and bug fixing.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database development.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Candidates with equivalent practical experience, strong PHP/Laravel and SQL expertise, and a relevant professional portfolio will also be considered.

Skills:

• Frontend development using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  
• Backend development using Node.js and Express.js.
  
• Database development and performance optimization using PostgreSQL.
  
• Python for automation, data processing, backend services, or AI/ML integrations
• Integration of AI/ML APIs, large language models, chatbots, intelligent search, or workflow automation.
  
• Development of healthcare platforms, including EMR/EHR systems, patient management, clinical workflows, appointment scheduling, and medical billing.
  
• Understanding of PHI, HIPAA principles, healthcare data privacy, and compliance-focused development.
  
• Cloud deployment and infrastructure management using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  
• Containerization, automated deployments, and CI/CD workflows using Docker and related tools.
  
• Redis, caching strategies, background jobs, message queues, and application performance optimization.
  
• Development of reporting dashboards, analytics modules, and data visualisation features.
  
• Writing unit, integration, feature, and API tests.
  
• Building responsive interfaces using Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Bootstrap, or similar UI frameworks.
  
• Application logging, error tracking, monitoring, debugging, and production support.
  

Workdays: Monday - Friday

Work hours: 6pm –3 am PKT (Night shift)

Gross Salary (USD): $ 75 0- $850
