Job summary

RepairDesk, Lahore-based, is seeking a software engineer to join our team. You will develop scalable web and mobile applications using Node.js, PHP, and Vue.js, collaborating with product designers and other engineers.

You will write clean code, design REST APIs and database schemas, and optimize performance. Experience with AWS, Git, and CI/CD is valued. The role offers AI-assisted tooling and opportunities to improve productivity while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages Node.js and PHP.
• Solid experience with frontend frameworks Vue.js (preferred).
• Hands-on REST APIs and OO design, and DB design.
• Familiarity with AWS, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining scalable front-end and back-end applications for web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborating with product designers, product managers, and other engineers to build user-friendly, high-performance software.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Writing and Implementing comprehensive use cases and test cases for APIs and ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
• Testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimising existing systems for performance and scalability.
• Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining quality standards.
• Utilise expertise to optimise legacy algorithms for improved software performance.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, and optimization to improve productivity and reduce development time.
• Ensure responsible and secure use of AI, including data privacy and cost optimization.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to the team lead.

Requirements

• Commitment to following coding best practices.
