Job summary

Systems Limited is seeking a software engineer to contribute to AI-enabled product platforms by building and maintaining non-AI application code, APIs, and data layers.

You will implement features under AI Architects/Engineers, write tests, and participate in agile ceremonies while delivering reliable, well-structured software.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, solid fundamentals, and are eager to grow toward AI engineering within a collaborative, cloud-aware environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, API design, testing discipline, version control.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts to collaborate with AI engineers.
• Growing knowledge of CI/CD and container technologies.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, able to ship as agreed and flag issues.
• Comfortable receiving and acting on code review feedback.

• Clear communication in stand-ups and written updates.

Responsibilities

The software engineering backbone of AI product builds — application code, APIs, and infrastructure glue that AI features run on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain the non-AI application code that AI features are embedded in (UI, APIs, data layer)
• Implement well-specified features and integrations under the direction of AI Architects/Engineers
• Write unit and integration tests; maintain code quality bar across the codebase
• Support debugging and production issue triage across the application stack
• Participate in agile delivery ceremonies — sprint planning, stand-ups, retros
• Document code and features for handoff and onboarding
• Receive and act on code review feedback constructively
• Communicate progress and blockers transparently to the lead engineer

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• 2–5 yrs professional software engineering experience (any modern stack)
• Solid fundamentals — data structures, API design, testing discipline, version control
• Basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts sufficient to work alongside AI Engineers without friction
• Growing familiarity with cloud deployment basics (CI/CD, containers)
• Reliable and detail-oriented — ships what was agreed, flags what wasn't
• Comfortable receiving and acting on code review feedback
• Growth-oriented — this is typically a stepping-stone role toward AI Engineer
