Job summary

Mahaana Wealth Limited is seeking a Head of Operations & Compliance to scale the operational backbone of Pakistan’s leading digital wealth platform. You’ll own user, fund, and finance operations, building processes, teams, and compliant funding pathways for Series A readiness.

You will report to the CEO and lead 5–8 staff across operations, compliance, and finance, driving automation and strong governance to support growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in operations, compliance, or finance within asset management, mutual funds, or financial services.
• Deep understanding of Pakistan's regulatory framework (SECP regulations, NBFC rules, AML/CFT laws).
• Experience managing fund operations including NAV calculations, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and customer onboarding processes.
• Proven track record building and scaling operational teams.
• Experience working with CDC, fund trustees, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Strong project management skills—able to juggle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for internal teams, regulators, and external partners.
• Process-oriented mindset with focus on automation and operational efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fund Operations including NAV calculations, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with CDC for settlements, registrations, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely regulatory filings with SECP and manage audit processes.
• Design scalable onboarding and customer lifecycle processes for User Operations.
• Lead AML/KYC programs and implement fraud detection measures.
• Build dashboards to monitor TAT, errors, and CSAT metrics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to automate processes and reduce bottlenecks.
• Manage a 5–8 person team across operations, compliance, and finance.
