Job summary

PMRC is seeking a qualified ACCA or ICMA professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting. The role requires strong analytical skills, teamwork and effective communication, with oversight of tax reporting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.

The incumbent will prepare quarterly tax calculations, bank reconciliations, and monthly management accounts, while ensuring IAS/IFRS compliance and liaising with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reporting related to Income Tax, Sales Tax, financial statements and other reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare Advance Tax calculations quarterly with Tax Advisor coordination.
• Ensure payment of Principal and interest to MoF per repayment schedule.
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation and monthly management accounts.
• Ensure compliance with IAS/IFRS and SBP/SECP circulars in financial statements.
• Maintain accounting controls and propose policies and procedures.
• Reconcile discrepancies by analyzing account information.
• Coordinate with auditors and other departments for finalizing statutory and internal audits.
• Prepare and present Annual Budget for schemes to trustee committee and authorities.
• Record all transactions accurately including Guarantee Premium and Settlement of Claims.
• Monitor scheme funds and maintain bank accounts; coordinate investments with Treasury.
• Develop/update policies accounting for changes in standards and tax laws.
• Coordinate with MOF for information under Trust Deed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Departmental Head.
