Job summary

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). The selected candidate will join the foundational team to help develop systems, processes, and financial controls.

Key duties include budget preparation, variance analysis, voucher processing, record keeping, and supporting audits, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (minimum sixteen years) in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years experience with at least 4 years of budgeting, accounts, or financial reporting support.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong documentation discipline.
• Attention to detail and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support budget preparation and consolidation by compiling submissions from Wings/Directorates, validating figures against approved templates/assumptions, and drafting budget narratives, justifications, and supporting working papers
• Assist in periodic budget monitoring by updating utilization trackers, performing variance analysis (budget vs. actual), identifying key drivers, and preparing summary reports/dashboards for management review
• Support accounting operations under supervision including voucher preparation/processing, verification of supporting documents, maintenance of payment files, and basic reconciliations (bank, vendor, advances, etc.) as applicable
• Maintain structured budget and accounting records including approvals, correspondence, supporting schedules, and audit trails to ensure retrievability, completeness, and compliance with applicable financial rules
• Support internal/external audit requirements by timely provision of evidence files, reconciliations, and responses to audit queries; track observations and documentation closure where assigned
• Coordinate with Wings/Directorates to follow up on budget and accounts-related queries, obtain missing documentation, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
