Job summary

UNDP Pakistan seeks a Finance Associate to help manage financial services in the Country Office, ensuring compliant use of resources and collaboration with operations, programmes, and project staff.

The role focuses on oversight of transactions, cost recovery, financial closure, and knowledge sharing, requiring strong accounting background, IFRS/IPAS awareness, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Fluency in English and Urdu is required.

Qualifications

• Secondary Education with specialized certification in accounting/finance is required.
• University degree in Finance or Accounting will be given due consideration.
• Fully Qualified Accountant, from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy or FTCP completion is preferred.
• Experience with ERP financials and Oracle Cloud ERP is desirable.
• Fluency in English and Urdu is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial reviews and ensure accuracy of payments and accounting documents.
• Coordinate with project finance staff for timely issue resolution.
• Contribute to timely financial closure milestones and dashboard monitoring.
• Support knowledge sharing and best practices in financial management.
