Job summary

UNDP Pakistan is seeking a Finance Associate to manage financial services within the Country Office, ensuring transparent use of resources and adherence to UNDP rules. The role collaborates with Operations, Programme, and project staff to provide accurate financial support.

Key duties include supervising FRMU transactions, driving cost-recovery, supporting financial closure, and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• High school with accounting/Finance certification is required.
• University degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fully Qualified Accountant or completion of UNDP FTCP is required.
• Part-qualified accountants from internationally accredited institutes have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transactions under FRMU portfolio and ensure POPP compliance.
• Coordinate with projects and GSSC on accounting issues and resolve bottlenecks.
• Support cost recovery: timely billing and recovery from clients.
• Assist with financial closure milestones and share knowledge within the team.
