Job summary

UNDP Pakistan is seeking a Finance Associate to support the Financial Resources Management Unit in ensuring efficient financial services and transparent use of resources in the Country Office. Under supervision, you will promote a client‑oriented approach in line with UNDP rules.

Responsibilities include overseeing transactions, cost recovery, financial closure, and knowledge sharing, with emphasis on accuracy of chart of accounts, reconciliation, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Secondary Education with accounting/finance certification is required
• University degree in Finance or Accounting will be given due consideration, but not required
• Part-qualified accountants from internationally accredited institute have an advantage

Responsibilities

• Oversee transactions to ensure compliance with POPP and internal policies
• Monitor and resolve issues in accounting transactions with project staff
• Support cost recovery measures and timely generation of bills
• Assist with financial closure and knowledge sharing within the team
