Job summary

JazzWorld Islamabad invites an Expert Data Center Infra Operations to lead the Data Centers and Core Network sites, focusing on KPI management, energy optimization and modernization initiatives.

You will report to the Manager DCIO and collaborate with Technology, Business Partners, SCM/Finance, CRA, Enterprise and customers to ensure timely project delivery and ongoing improvements, including AI adoption and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ICT passive infrastructure and power systems experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Power Systems.
• Knowledge of TIA-942 Rated III and Uptime Tier III standards.
• Experience with ICT and Core Passive Infrastructure project management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Data Center passive infrastructure KPI performance and availability.
• Oversee O&M of DGs, ATS, UPS, rectifiers, batteries, FDSS and precision cooling.
• Plan and implement PUE optimization, energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence by improving systems and processes.
• Monitor infrastructure performance through DCIM and other tools.
• Drive AI adoption and automation across infrastructure operations.
• Prepare project plans for Data Center modernization, expansion and greenfield projects.
• Manage inventory and assets related to Data Centers and Core Sites.
• Review FLM invoices and ensure regional SOP compliance.

As Expert Data Center Infra Operations, you will play a vital role in managing the operations, optimization and modernization of Data Centers and Core Network sites. Reporting to the Manager DCIO, you will work closely with Technology, Business Partners, SCM/Finance, CRA, Enterprise, Customers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely implementation of ongoing projects.

The role has a strong focus on Data Center KPI management, OPEX reduction, energy optimization, operational excellence and AI adoption.

What you’ll own

• Ensure Data Center passive infrastructure KPI performance and availability.
• Oversee O&M of DGs, ATS, UPS, rectifiers, batteries, FDSS and precision cooling systems, while ensuring SLA compliance with FLM partners.
• Plan and implement PUE optimization, energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence by improving systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 physical security, PTA and TIA-942 guidelines at certified sites and support legacy sites in preparation for certification.
• Monitor and analyze Data Center infrastructure performance through DCIM and other tools.
• Ensure effective white-space utilization within Data Centers in line with industry standards.
• Analyze power and cooling systems utilization, support expansion forecasting and manage EOL cycles.
• Drive AI adoption and automation across infrastructure operations.
• Review and update DCIO SOPs in line with business requirements.
• Conduct regular performance review meetings with FLM Business Partners.
• Conduct joint visits (JVs) and provide feedback, as per agreed processes, for new services and systems installation, infrastructure expansion, audits and external customers.
• Prepare project plans and coordinate closely with Planning and Technology teams for timely implementation of Data Center modernization, expansion and greenfield projects.
• Manage inventory and assets related to Data Centers and Core Sites.
• Review FLM invoices and ensure processing for regional sites as per SOP.
• Support line management with routine and special assignments.

• Data Center passive infrastructure consistently meets availability, KPI and SLA requirements.
• Power, cooling and infrastructure resources are utilized efficiently, with measurable focus on energy and OPEX optimization.
• Data Center modernization, expansion and greenfield projects are implemented in line with agreed plans and timelines.
• Infrastructure performance is actively monitored through DCIM and other tools, enabling timely identification of operational improvements.
• Data Centers maintain required security, regulatory and infrastructure standards and remain prepared for certification and audits.
• AI adoption and automation contribute to improved systems, processes and operational efficiency.
• FLM partners, assets, inventory and operational processes are effectively governed.

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Bring 7+ years of experience in ICT Passive Infrastructure and Power Systems.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Power Systems from a reputable university.
• Have in-depth knowledge of TIA-942 Rated III and Uptime Tier III standards.
• Bring experience in ICT and Core Passive Infrastructure project management.
• Have a focus on AI adoption and system/process automation.
• Possess good analytical skills with a data-driven and result-oriented approach.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, conflict management, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• CDCP, CDFOM or equivalent Data Center certifications will be preferred.
