Job summary

Teknosys is seeking an Expert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Islamabad to own and optimize our on‑prem Kubernetes platform and core infrastructure. You will ensure availability, performance, and resilience while collaborating with DevOps and development teams to enable seamless deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on management of Kubernetes, servers, storage, networking, and security, with a focus on automation and reliable operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience managing Linux-based production environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong Kubernetes administration skills with Docker, Helm, and kubectl.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including deployments, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Administer core infrastructure comprising servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and networking components.
• Ensure platform availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and capacity planning across production environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health using observability tools and address performance issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term reliability improvements.
• Drive infrastructure automation using IaC tools, scripting, and CI/CD integrations.
• Enforce security best practices, provide L2 operational support, and maintain operational documentation.

As anExpert Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of our on-premises Kubernetes platform and core infrastructure environments.

This role is hands-on and operationally focused, requiring you to manage Kubernetes clusters, maintain compute, storage, and networking systems, and proactively monitor production environments. You will work closely with DevOps and development teams to enable seamless deployments, automate operational processes, and ensure infrastructure remains secure, resilient, and highly available.

You may be a strong fit if you

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Have hands-on experience managing Linux-based production environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Possess strong Kubernetes administration skills, including Docker, Helm, and kubectl.
• Are experienced with virtualization platforms, networking fundamentals, and storage technologies.
• Have expertise with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or ELK.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, scripting, CI/CD tools, and Git workflows.
• Exhibit strong troubleshooting, ownership, communication skills, and an automation-first mindset, with exposure to cloud platforms being an added advantage.
