Job summary

HBL People is seeking an Enterprise Technology and Platform Architect to align technology investments with target-state architecture and enterprise standards in Pakistan. The role focuses on governance, modernization, and risk-control integration across cloud, infrastructure, and platform domains.

The candidate will lead architecture reviews, develop roadmaps, and drive technology standards while collaborating with security teams to ensure compliant, resilient solutions for enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• About 10 years of experience in architecture/engineering roles focused on enterprise technology, infrastructure, cloud, integration, or similar domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and guardrails.
• Develop target-state architectures and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud, infrastructure, integration, middleware, data, and platforms.
• Establish patterns for cloud-native, API-led, event-driven, and hybrid environments.
• Embed Security-by-Design, resilience, recoverability, availability, and compliance in architectures.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture to integrate security, privacy, risk controls into platforms and solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance to ensure adherence to standards and target-state architectures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide modernization and lifecycle decisions.
• Drive standardization, rationalization, and reduction of technical debt.
• Support strategic investments, vendor evaluations, and transformation programs.

Job Description

ET&PA will be working closely with Enterprise/ SolutionArchitects, Security Architects, Infrastructure teams, and Platform teams, the role ensures alignment between technology investments, target-state architecture, and enterprise standards. The Enterprise Technology & Platform Architect champions architecture governance, technology modernization, rationalization, and Security-by-Design principles to reduce technology risk and enable sustainable innovation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and technology guardrails.
• Develop target-state architectures and technology roadmaps aligned with business and transformation objectives.
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud, infrastructure, integration, middleware, data, and enterprise technology platforms.
• Establish architecture patterns for cloud-native, API-led, event-driven, and hybrid technology environments.
• Ensure Security-by-Design, resilience, recoverability, availability, and compliance requirements are embedded within technology architectures.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture teams to integrate security, privacy, identity, and risk management controls into enterprise platforms and solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance forums to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and target-state architectures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide technology adoption, modernization, and lifecycle management decisions.
• Drive technology standardization, rationalization, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
• Support strategic technology investments, vendor evaluations, and enterprise transformation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering.
• 10 years of work experience In an Architecture / Engineering related position primarily experience in in enterprise technology, infrastructure, cloud, integration, or architecture domains
