Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software in Lahore is seeking an embedded software DevOps/QA engineer to implement CI/CD pipelines, and develop test automation using Python, PowerShell and C on embedded platforms. You will work on real-time OS projects within a fast-paced, distributed team.

Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in CS/CE/EE with strong programming and communication skills, and a drive for continuous improvement in a global software environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand Git-based tools (GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge of QA methodologies.
• Experience with C/C++/C#, Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with AI tools and AI model concepts, containers (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab).

Position Overview

Candidate will be working on real time operating systems and virtualization solutions. In this role, you will be working on implementing the DevOps/QA strategy for embedded software using modern DevOps infrastructure and tools. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Python, PowerShell and C based unit test development and test automation for embedded platforms.

Qualifications

BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 1-3 years of professional experience. Strong programming, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work optimally in fast-paced, distributed teams, and deliver high-quality results. Quick to learn, and driven by continuous improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Git based tools GitHub, GitLab etc.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies
• Experience of working in C/C++/C#, Python and PowerShell scripting
• Expertise / knowledge with any of the following technologies will be an added advantage
  • AI Tools and Terminologies
  • AI Agent Development - Knowledge of Different AI Models
  • Familiarity with Containers (Dockers etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines - Preferably Github actions or Gitlab pipelines
