Senior Accountant (Remote, Lahore, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• CA or ACCA qualified accountant.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm.
• Proven proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, FreeAgent, Sage Line 50, VT, and Taxcalc.
• Experience in data migration from Sage Line 50 to Xero is a plus.
• Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• A proactive, results-oriented team player with a positive attitude.
• Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools, such as MS Teams, for remote work is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Process financial transactions, maintain accuracy in the general ledger, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare VAT returns, manage VAT calculations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of both corporate and individual tax returns.
• Review the work of junior staff and provide mentorship on accounting processes, VAT calculations, and tax return preparation.
• Assist in creating financial reports, analyze trends, and provide insights to management.
• Keep abreast of accounting principles, tax regulations, and relevant industry best practices.
