DevOps Architect (Azure)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for ensuring adherence to the SLAs as per contract.
2. Take the lead on urgent issues and projects, ensuring statuses are properly communicated and appropriate staffing resources are assigned as required.
3. Responsible for documentation of system configuration, processes and tools used by the team.
4. Have a thorough process methodology and ability to communicate with all stakeholders.
5. Work collaboratively with development engineering to create and deploy a CI/CD infrastructure.
6. Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, etc.
7. Deploy and support applications on cloud environment.
8. Responsible for infrastructure security and making sure environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and automated.
9. Providing direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production.
10. Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.
11. Designing, implementing and testing agreed-upon infrastructures.
12. Automating deployment of Linux applications, system configurations and security settings.
13. Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Minimum Requirements:

1. BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar relevant field.
2. Minimum 8 years of related experience in professional industry.
3. Working on tools like Jenkins, Azure, App Center Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Subversion, Docker, or relevant.
4. Knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL data platforms such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
5. Using Windows Servers on VMWare, IIS, MSSQL, MongoDB.
6. Advanced level scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Bash, Powershell).
7. Strong experience with Linux distributions (Rhel 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux).
8. Experience working embedded with development teams, helping them automate/optimize.
9. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
10. Flexible attitude and versatile personality.
