Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform wound dressings as per physician instructions.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures under supervision.

Job Description

Perform wound dressings as per physician instructions.

Assist in minor surgical procedures under supervision.

Clean, prepare, and apply sterile dressings and bandages.

Monitor wounds for signs of infection and report abnormalities.

Prepare patients for procedures and provide basic patient assistance.

Support patient positioning and comfort during procedures.

Educate patients on basic wound care and follow-up instructions (as directed).

Maintain strict aseptic techniques during dressings and procedures.

Follow infection prevention and control policies; ensure proper disposal of clinical waste.

Maintain dressing trolleys and ensure availability of supplies.

Clean and store instruments after use and coordinate with CSSD if required.

Report shortages or damaged items promptly.

Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and safety protocols.

Provide direct patient care by applying sterile dressing, POP, back Slab, orthopedic splints, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments and applying restraints.

Assist in physiotherapy, ambulation and rehabilitation.

Routine care and cleaning of dressing trolleys, cupboards apparatus, mackintosh etc.

Follow institution's policies; maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
