Job summary

Relief International is seeking a District MHPSS Assistant to support safe and accessible services across wellbeing centres, mobile clinics and home-based activities in the assigned district in Pakistan.

You will work under supervision to provide Psychological First Aid, practical support, and confidential service navigation, while ensuring records are accurate and safeguarding procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Public Health or a relevant social or health discipline.
• At least two years of relevant community, psychosocial, health or protection programme experience.
• Ability to complete approved PFA and safeguarding training.
• Clear communication in Pashto, Urdu and a local district language; basic English reading.
• Accurate record keeping and confidentiality practices.
• Experience supporting mobile teams, wellbeing centres, adolescents, caregivers or persons with specific needs.
• Prior PFA training and familiarity with consent-based referral procedures and digital attendance tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome participants, explain services and feedback channels, and support appointments and reception with privacy.
• Prepare wellbeing centre sessions, mobile clinic schedules and home visits; arrange materials and spaces.
• Support participation by women, persons with needs, and vulnerable groups; coordinate adjustments.
• Explain consent and confidentiality; assist with informed consent procedures as applicable.
• Provide PFA and basic support after approved training under supervision.
• Assist with group and community wellbeing activities and referrals.
• Follow emergency escalation procedures and assist with referrals within RI control.
• Maintain accurate attendance, appointment and supply records; protect participant information.
