Job summary

BearPlex, Inc. is building and operating secure, auditable cloud platforms in Lahore.

You will own the infrastructure that everything we ship runs on, with a focus on reliability, security, and auditability for regulated enterprises. Based at our Lahore HQ on a hybrid schedule, you will work with engineering teams to design, implement, and operate resilient cloud environments using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Job description

The Role

For the regulated enterprises BearPlex serves, infrastructure is not a back‑office concern. It is where auditability, reliability, and security are either built in or quietly missing. This role owns the foundation that everything we ship runs on.

You will build and operate cloud platforms on AWS where reliability and security are designed in, not bolted on later. We value resilience over velocity, so your work is judged on how well the system holds under pressure, recovers from failure, and proves what it did. Based at our Lahore HQ on a hybrid schedule, you will be close to the engineering teams whose systems you support.

What You Will Do

• Build infrastructure as code. Define and manage AWS environments with Terraform or equivalent so every change is reviewed, versioned, and reproducible.

• Run Kubernetes in production. Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters running enterprise workloads, with sane resource limits and rollout strategies.

• Own CI and CD. Build pipelines that ship safely, with automated tests, gated promotions, and clean rollbacks.

• Instrument everything. Stand up logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting so problems are caught before clients feel them.

• Engineer for security. Enforce least-privilege access, secrets management, network controls, and the audit trails regulated clients require.

• Design for reliability. Plan for failure with backups, recovery testing, and incident response that actually works when it is needed.

• Partner with engineering. Work alongside product teams across our Diagnostic, Build, and Guardian phases so infrastructure decisions match the system they support.

What We Are Looking For

• Operated real production infrastructure. You have run systems that could not go down and learned from the times they tried to.

• Deep AWS. Strong working knowledge of core AWS services for compute, networking, storage, and identity.

• Infrastructure as code. Fluency with Terraform or a comparable tool, treating infrastructure as software.

• Kubernetes and containers. Real operational experience with Kubernetes and Docker, not just tutorials.

• Observability and reliability practice. You build monitoring and run incidents with a calm, evidence-driven approach.

• Security mindset. You think in terms of least privilege, blast radius, and auditability by default.

Nice to Have

• Multi-cloud exposure. Experience with GCP or Azure alongside AWS.

• Scripting depth. Comfort automating with Python, Go, or shell to remove toil.

• Compliance experience. Familiarity with the controls and evidence regulated audits demand.

• Data layer ops. Experience operating PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar in production.
