About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Biller to join our team and support U.S.-based dental practices with accurate and timely billing operations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with dental billing, insurance claims, and payment processing, and is comfortable working with U.S. dental insurance systems and terminology.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate dental insurance claims.
- Review claims for accuracy and ensure all required information and documentation is included.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims.
- Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and identify discrepancies or outstanding balances.
- Process insurance eligibility and benefits information when needed.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with dental insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate billing records and update patient accounts.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Follow established billing procedures and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Collaborate with dental office teams to resolve billing and insurance-related issues.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in dental billing, preferably supporting U.S.-based dental practices.
- Strong understanding of U.S. dental insurance and claims processes.
- Experience with claim submission, payment posting, EOBs, denials, and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and CDT codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple billing tasks.
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new software and systems.
- Ability to work full-time during U.S. business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with dental practice management or billing software.
- Experience handling claim appeals and insurance follow-ups.
- Experience with U.S. dental insurance carriers.
- Experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients.
