Contour Software Pvt Ltd is seeking a Data Engineer to join our development team in multiple cities including Karachi. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, leverage AWS data lake technologies, and apply big data processing with PySpark and Databricks to support analytics initiatives.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with Airflow, and a solid understanding of data security and NoSQL integration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AWS cloud data lake architectures (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift).
• Hands-on with Apache Airflow for complex data workflows.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts and structures.
• Proficient in AWS services for big data processing (Glue, Data Lake, EMR).
• Design and build scalable data pipelines for large datasets.
• Experience with PySpark, Databricks and related tech.
• Python for data manipulation and AWS SDKs for cloud access.
• Strong SQL; familiarity with NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• RESTful API integration and data security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient queries to extract and analyze large datasets with robust data workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions and data pipelines.
• Expand data tech stack to support advanced analytics and processing.
• Apply ML techniques to clean/process data for analytics initiatives.
• Evaluate and adopt efficient tools for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
• Understand customer needs and translate requirements into technical implementations.
• Utilize AWS services to enable scalable data processing with security and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor and improve performance of data systems and stay updated on trends.
