Job summary

Huawei Islamabad is seeking an experienced CS Core Planning Engineer based in Islamabad, with strong experience in CS core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of CS core/network experience.
• Familiarity with CS call flows per 3GPP/GSMA/IEEE/ETSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CS core network utilization, growth trends, traffic forecasting and capacity analysis across CS core network elements.
• Understand end-to-end CS core designs for MSC, STPs, SVC & HLR.
• Recommend network optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson), contractors, and internal departments to evaluate vendor proposals and recommend optimal technical solutions.
• Define operational standards, review engineering packages, and drive improvements in network deployment and monitoring.
• Take responsibility for network safety.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation, and new nodes acceptance, with willingness to learn and grow.
