Job summary

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd (MMBL) seeks a Verification Officer to support branches, review loan files for accuracy, and participate in credit decisions. You will maintain MIS, identify rejection reasons, and ensure policy adherence.

The role also includes pre- and post-disbursement verifications and staff trainings. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Banking & Finance/ Agriculture/ Economics/Accounts and have 3–5 years of credit experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the specified fields from a reputable institution.
• 3–5 years of credit and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support branches to meet targets while maintaining prudent credit risk.
• Independently review loan files for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in branch Credit Committee decisions and provide independent judgment.
• Maintain MIS of loan applications and outcomes.
• Identify reasons for loan rejections and share with stakeholders.
• Conduct pre-approval verifications and cross-check borrower information.
• Verify borrower existence and business activity per policy.
• Assess customer knowledge of business and loan purpose.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and guidelines.
• Provide trainings to branch staff on credit assessment and monitoring.
• On onboarding goldsmiths, perform credential verification per policy.
• Conduct quarterly verification of goldsmiths and report findings.
• Support and supervise gold auction processes.
