Job summary

vasl-talent is seeking a Construction Estimator (Fencing) to prepare cost estimates and bids for fence projects. You will analyze plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop labor and materials costs using industry tools.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CM or civil/structural eng, 2–5 years' fencing estimating experience, strong Excel skills, and clear communication. Onsite in Islamabad, collaborating with clients and teams to finalize proposals.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience as a construction estimator, fencing industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of materials and methods for fencing projects.

Responsibilities

Location: Plaza ONE, Main GT Road, Near DHA Phase 2, Gate 1, Islamabad (PSO Petrol Pump)

Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM (Pakistan Standard Time)

Job Overview

As a Fence Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and pricing details for clients with and commercial projects. Your duties will include placing bids for fence building jobs, submitting detailed labor and materials cost plans, estimating multiple projects simultaneously, and using computer programs to provide accurate project estimates and outlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements for custom fencing projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs (QTO) and material takeoffs (MTO) using software such as Planswift, RSMeans, and Bluebeam.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using industry-standard tools and databases, adhering to the company's established estimating procedures.
• Compile pricing, bid documentation, and proposals for submission.
• Communicate with clients and team members to gather required information and provide clarification regarding the estimate.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of estimates and bid proposals.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, pricing updates, and changes in local and national building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with direct experience in the fencing industry.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods, preferably related to fencing projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Bluebeam and Planswift and RSMeans
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in USA market.
• Familiarity with project management software.
