Job summary

vasl-talent is seeking a Fence Estimator to prepare cost estimates and pricing for residential and commercial fence projects. The role involves placing bids, detailing labor and material costs, and coordinating with clients to finalize estimates.

You will evaluate plans, use CAD/Planswift/Bluebeam tools, and maintain records while collaborating with the owner and crew leads to ensure competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably in fencing.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements for custom fencing projects.
• Adhere to the company’s pre-existing procedures for accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with the owner, crew leads, and other team members to develop bids and proposals.

Job Overview:

As a Fence Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and pricing details for clients with and commercial projects. Your duties will include placing bids for fence building jobs, submitting detailed labor and materials cost plans, estimating multiple projects simultaneously, and using computer programs to provide accurate project estimates and outlines.
