Job summary

Convo is seeking a Connector Factory Engineer with 5+ years of experience to build and support enterprise data integrations. You will develop Python connectors for REST APIs and SFTP feeds, map source schemas to canonical contracts, and implement validation and secure authentication.

Job Summary:

Convo is looking for a Connector Factory Engineer with 5+ years of experience in building and supporting enterprise data integrations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, REST APIs, SFTP/file-based integrations, schema mapping, data validation, authentication, and automated testing. The role will focus on developing reliable inbound connectors, ensuring accurate data movement into standardized platform contracts, and supporting monitoring, reconciliation, and operational processes.

Technical mission

Build and maintain standardized inbound connectors for enterprise, syndicated and POS data sources using approved contracts and platform patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Python Connectors for REST APIs, SFTP/file feeds and approved database/export interfaces.

• Map source yaml schemas into canonical landing contracts and produce validation/error reports.

• Implement authentication, scheduling, pagination, retries, checkpointing and idempotent reprocessing.

• Add connector-level monitoring, reconciliation and operational support procedures.

• Maintain configuration, mapping documentation, automated tests and handover materials.

Required technical capabilities

• Minimum experience: 5+ years building and operating enterprise data integrations or inbound connectors.

• Strong Python integration development.

• REST and SFTP/file-based integration patterns.

• Schema mapping, validation and structured error handling.

• Secure credential handling and practical API authentication mechanisms.

• Automated unit/integration tests and CI-based packaging.

• Operational support for data feeds, including reconciliation and restartability.

Preferred experience

• SAP, Dynamics 365, POS or syndicated-data integration experience.

• Airflow, Azure Data Factory or comparable orchestration.

• Reusable connector frameworks and metadata-driven mapping.

Expected deliverables / acceptance evidence

• Configured, tested connectors accepted against canonical landing contracts.

• Source-to-target mappings and reconciliation evidence.

• Monitoring, restart and incident runbooks.

• Maintainable code and knowledge-transfer package.

Primary interfaces

Works under Senior Data Engineering and the Data Architect, with source-system SMEs and platform operations.
