Job summary

Responsibilities

• Direct bedside supervision of nursing students in hospital wards.
• Demonstrate clinical nursing procedures (IV cannulation, Foley catheterization, wound dressing).
• Conduct morning clinical pre-conferences and reflective afternoon post-conferences.
• Evaluate student clinical skills performance using standardized objective rubrics (CPET).
• Ensure patient safety and enforce hospital infection control bundles (CAUTI/CLABSI).
• Supervise student medication administration and reinforce the 10 Rights of drug safety.
• Guide students in writing SOAP clinical progress notes and SBAR handover communications.

The Clinical Instructor reports to the Principal / Academic Coordinator.
