Job summary

Zameen is seeking a Materials Engineer (Civil) in Lahore to plan, evaluate, and assure quality of construction materials for building projects. The role collaborates with site and procurement teams to ensure timely availability and compliance.

Responsibilities include reviewing materials, coordinating submittals, supervising testing (concrete, steel, aggregates), maintaining records, and supporting QA/QC audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant building construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, BS, ACI testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve construction materials per specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement for material submittals and approvals.
• Ensure materials comply with drawings, BOQ, and specs.
• Conduct and supervise material testing (concrete, steel, aggregates).
• Maintain records of approvals, test reports, and inspection logs.
• Monitor material usage on site and control wastage.
• Liaise with consultants for approvals and inspections.
• Evaluate new materials and suppliers/vendors.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials on site.
• Prepare material reconciliation reports and consumption analysis.
• Support QA/QC team in audits and inspections.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
