Job summary

National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi seeks a Head - Application and Database Security (AVP/VP) to lead the bank's application security program, architecture reviews, and vulnerability management across digital platforms. The role requires a strong background in Computer Science or IT, with 6+ years in IT security, including at least 3 years in applications security.

Master’s degree or relevant certifications will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation in Computer Science and / or Computer Engineering and / or Cybersecurity and / or Information Technology from a local or international university recognized by the HEC of Pakistan.
• Master's in Information Security or relevant certifications (PIPT, OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• To help organization evolve its application security function and services.
• To ensure secure software development life cycle is followed within the organization.
• To review security design / architecture of business applications.
• To perform information security risk assessments of business applications before deployment in a timely manner.

Skills

OWASP Top 10 knowledge

Penetration testing

Interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT

Master's in Information Security or related

Certifications such as CISSP OSCP etc.
