Purpose
Café Manager is responsible for the successful daily operations of the café. He/she hires, trains, manages, and supports shift supervisors and Baristas to ensure the team provides consistent products, maintains a clean working environment, and delivers the highest level of guest experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate passion and confidence for the Second Cup Brand
- Provide quick, friendly, and genuine service to guests
- Generate guest satisfaction; respond appropriately to guest concerns
- Manage and motivate shift supervisors and Baristas
- Develop and implement café policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to all Second Cup Standards, product quality, and guest service consistency
- Handle hiring, firing, training, and performance reviews
- Assist Operations Manager with ordering supplies

- Effective communication with coworkers and management to solve issues and improve quality and service
- Collaborate with baristas, shift supervisors, and management to implement positive changes
- Ensure all staff follow cash handling procedures
- Follow procedures for handling voids and cash mistakes
- Reconcile cash and register records at the end of shifts
